Short version: The app collects nothing — no data leaves your phone. If you contact us through the website form, we collect your name, email, message, IP address, and the time of submission to handle your request and prevent abuse. The blog runs ads. That's it.
The app
Eat a Mile contains no analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing about your gameplay, your device, or your identity leaves your phone.
Your scores, unlocked characters, selected character, and settings are stored in your device's local storage only. Uninstalling the app removes all of it. There is no account, no login, no cloud sync, and no server that knows you exist.
The only time the app touches a network is if you open the Support screen and tap a tip-jar option, which routes through Apple's StoreKit or Google Play Billing. Those transactions are handled entirely by Apple and Google under their respective privacy policies. Eat a Mile receives no payment details and logs nothing.
The contact form
If you use the contact form at eatamile.com, the following information is collected and stored:
- Your name and email address, as you enter them
- Your message and the topic category you selected
- Your IP address
- The date and time of your submission
This data is used for two purposes: responding to your message, and detecting and preventing fraud and abuse. It is not shared with advertisers, used to build a behavioral profile, or sold to anyone.
Contact form submissions are processed through our CRM platform and retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to support ongoing correspondence. To request deletion of your submission, email [email protected].
The Road Notes blog
Road Notes, the Eat a Mile blog at eatamile.com/road-notes, runs display ads served by Revive Adserver. When an ad loads, Revive's servers may log your IP address, browser type, and the page you were viewing. This is standard ad-serving infrastructure used to count impressions and serve the correct ad.
We don't set behavioral tracking cookies and don't build profiles of readers for advertising purposes. Ads on this site are served to fund the blog's operating costs — not to monetize data about you. The app remains ad-free regardless.
What this site doesn't do
There is no email newsletter, no user account system, no login, no social login, no comment system, no retargeting pixel, and no third-party analytics on this website. We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any equivalent service. We don't sell data to data brokers.
Questions
